Acupuncture Injection Therapy (AIT) or “Aquapuncture” involves the injection of small amounts of saline solution, B12, and homeopathic saline solution.
Like acupuncture, fine hypodermic needles are inserted into acupuncture points or trigger points just under the skin or into muscles. It has a therapy used by acupuncturists in China for almost a century. Today, this technique is used to treat pain, muscle spasm, inflammation, arthritis, fatique, vitamin deficiencies, and to promote general health.
Injection of saline into body points activates them in a similar way to the insertion of acupuncture needles. The major difference is the way the saline water activates the point for a longer period of time enhancing the therapeutic effect.
Saline solution contains the same salt concentrations as our cells, blood, and interstitial fluid (the fluid between our cells). When involved in a chronic illness or injury, the interstitial fluid is congested with the inflammation waste products that come from the injured tissue. This prevents nutrient and waste product transfer between the cells and bloodstream. Saline improve the quality of the interstitial fluid which stimulates efficient nutrient and waste product transfer between the cells and bloodstream again. It optimizes conditions for the body’s self-healing processes. Thus, not only does AIT reduce the pain but it also finds the root cause of it and cures it through self-healing mechanisms.
Although positive outcomes may result from a few AIT sessions, most conditions require a number of treatment sessions for the full benefits to take effect. Like acupuncture, the needles used are very fine. Most people do not feel any pain when the needles are injected, only mild discomfort.
